Reading the Bible in One Year with the Bible Project

We're taking our bible reading to New Heights! If you've been around us a little while you may have heard us say that 2019 is our year to "Breath Deeply" the word of God (check out our Storyboard Sunday message here, where Pastor Tyler shares with us the vision God gave him).

In light of it being our year to breathe deeply, we have decided to use The Bible Project to outline our daily readings as a church, and our Sunday Morning Sermons. The plan begins on January 1st, 2019 and takes you on a chronological journey through the entire Bible over the course of one year. Each book includes videos specifically designed to enhance your understanding and engagement with God's Word.

During the course of the plan, you'll watch a video nearly everyday that corresponds with the reading on our reading plan. In addition to reading along with the rest of our Church, you'll also read with thousands of others across the world. Each day a Psalm is included to pray through and meditate on. That means at the end of the year, you'll have read through the book of Psalms twice!

We know making a commitment like this can be daunting, but we're all in this together! Each day's reading is no more than 20 minutes long, and is filled with extra teachings from the Bible Project that make digesting the bible a lot easier. If you'd like more information about the Bible Project's one year reading plan, watch the video below.

You can join the plan any of the following three ways:

1. Download the "Read Scripture" app on the App Store (and in Google Play), and set daily reminders to help keep you on track.

2. Download the "Bible" app (available on all phones), and create your own YouVersion account. Go to search function within the bible plans and search "Bible Project 1 Year Plan" and click "Start this plan." Downloading the plan this way is recommended for anyone who will begin after the original January 1st start date!

3. Download and print the entire plan ahead of time, in PDF format! You can visit the Bible Project's website or download the PDF here.
