At StoryHeights, we’re out to write a story that will carry on for generations to come. Therefore, we place a high emphasis on the next generation. Whether in junior high or high school, we don’t wait on students to grow up to become the Church. We believe students are the Church, so students lead on the front lines of StoryHeights.
We call our student ministry “The Anomaly,” because we want every student to deviate from the standard, normal or expected definition of a teen. Students who call StoryHeights Church “home” are encouraged to get involved in everything we do. They volunteer and serve at Servolutions. They give their resources and invite their friends and family to our weekend worship experiences. The Anomaly makes God’s House awesome, fun and brings passion everywhere they go. We wouldn’t have it any other way!
Currently, all youth 5th-12th graders join the adults for the worship service, and then meet together during the sermon for their own message with our youth pastors.
Beginning in October Anomaly will encompass 9th-12th graders. They'll meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm-8:30pm in our new building in Newton Upper Falls for a weekly worship service and fun with our youth team. Jr. Anomaly will encompass 5th-8th graders. They'll continue to join their parents for the worship service, and then after the music portion go into their own classroom for a message geared to their faith and age.
Also beginning in October, all Anomaly students will be invited for a once-a-month fun night on the 2nd Friday of every month as well as our annual youth retreat and summer camp.
