At StoryHeights, we’re out to write a story that will carry on for generations to come. Therefore, we place a high emphasis on the next generation. Whether in junior high or high school, we don’t wait on students to grow up to become the Church. We believe students are the Church, so students lead on the front lines of StoryHeights.
We call our student ministry “The Anomaly,” because we want every student to deviate from the standard, normal or expected definition of a teen. Students who call StoryHeights Church “home” are encouraged to get involved in everything we do. They volunteer and serve at Servolutions. They give their resources and invite their friends and family to our weekend worship experiences. The Anomaly makes God’s House awesome, fun and brings passion everywhere they go. We wouldn’t have it any other way!
Currently, all youth 5th-12th graders join the adults for the worship service, and then meet together during the sermon for their own message with our youth pastors.
5th-8th graders, what we like to call Anomaly Middle, will meet during the 9:00AM service (after worship) in the multipurpose room. 9th-12th graders, Anomaly, will meet during the 10:45AM service (after worship) in the multipurpose room.
Anomaly students (9th-12th grade) are invited to come out on Saturday nights from 6:00-9:00pm for fun, food, and a relaxed, safe environment where they can bring their friends, play games, watch movies, etc.
Anomaly Middle students (5th-8th grade) can look forward to monthly Friday night outings geared specifically to their age group. These will look different each time, but will always be a night to remember!
